Neither awake, nor asleep—times of healing are fragile.

AWSD keys for movement, SPACE BAR to loose your head.

Content Considerations:

  • Flashing screens. It happens in a few places.
  • Spicy language. Well, just once. But it's a stylized f-bomb!
  • Short play: 3-5 minutes of your time. Maybe 10 if shmups aren't your thing.

I've been thinking about doing something to celebrate David Lynch's life and the Catch Ideas Like Fish DAVID LYNCH inspired game jam seemed like a great way for me to dive in. 

I was inspired by Lynch's films, commercials, and my own near-death bedside conversation with my mother about him. I declared, while filled with an abscess in over 90% of my body's internal cavity:

"Mom, he's the most important American filmmaker there is!" 

Some of the imagery in the game is based on my feverish re-imagining of his films while I was in my hospital bed. Some of it is referencing his legendary PlayStation 2 commercial. I know the jam organizers encouraged us to not reference his work. But they also said to include coffee, quinoa, and a white horse. And those are very present in my game.

This is my first solo game jam project, and I've never programmed anything like this before, but I've had tons of development support from Gamma Space community members Sophie, Sarah, Maggie and Jennie.
